Player Information Sheet
Format: 18 Holes, Four-Ball Stroke Play; Gross and Net (85% of course handicap) Championships will be awarded. Any tie for first place will be decided immediately by a hole-by-hole playoff (Gross Division only).
Rules of Play: The 2023 Rules of Golf are in effect and are supplemented by the MASS GOLF HARD CARD. The Committee will provide any additional Local Rules needed at the championship site. It is the individual player’s responsibility to know the Terms of the Competition.
Policies & Procedures: Please refer to the Mass Golf POLICIES & PROCEDURES.
Golf Carts, Caddies, & Push/Pull Carts: Golf carts are included in the entry fee, and competitors are encouraged to use golf carts during the Championship. Caddies, and push/pull carts are also permitted.
Starting Times: Can be found on the MASSACHUSETTS WOMEN'S FOUR-BALL CHAMPIONSHIP home page. Please make sure to be at your starting tee at least 10 minutes prior to your starting time to ensure that all proper instructions are received from the starter.
Tees/ Approximate Yardage: Approximate yardage for the Championship Proper will be the clubs white tee set around 5,600 yards.
Practice Round Information: Discounted practice rounds will be available to all competitors at the discretion of the club based on availability. Competitors are required to email Greg Farland (gfarland@marlboroughcc.com) to schedule their practice round – no walk-up times will be available.
- Tuesday, June 18th - All Day (Preferred)
- Thursday, June 27th - Before 3pm (Preferred)
- Sunday, June 30th - After 3pm (Extremely Limited)
Notes
-There will be a MANDATORY cart/trail fee of $25 for your practice round (Credit Card Only). Practice rounds are for players only.
-Only ONE BALL may be played by competitors during their practice round.
Practice Facilities: The practice facilities will be available starting at 6:30 AM on Monday, July 1st.
Food & Beverage Services: Mass Golf will be providing a complimentary luncheon on Monday, July 1st for all competitors between the hours of 11:00 AM – 3:30 PM. Breakfast services will be available to competitors for purchase (Credit Card Only). The Halfway House will also be open for the duration of the event.
On-Course Restrooms: Pro-shop & Clubhouse
Prizes: Hannah D. Townshend Cup engraved with the names of Women’s Four-Ball Championship Winners (Gross). Merchandise certificates will be awarded to top finishers in both divisions and are only redeemable at the host site.
